The Sandy Springs Society has scheduled this year’s Tossed Out Treasures, an upscale resale event and the organization’s largest fundraiser, for March 14-17.
“Inflation is continuing to have an impact on pricing on all nature of products. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase high quality ‘new to you’ items at exceptional prices, while knowing those proceeds are going to benefit the community vs. a large retailer,” said Kim McAfee, chair of Tossed Out Treasures.
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16, and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, March. 17.
This year’s sale will be held at 5920 Roswell Road, Suite C203 in Sandy Springs, in partnership with Jamestown. This is in the former Tuesday Morning location in the Parkside Shopping Center, above the Sandy Springs Cinema & Taphouse.
Admission is free and open to the public. A “Spring Fling” preview party will enable participants to be the first to discover this year’s finds and will include a dinner buffet and silent auction from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
Tickets are available for $40 through March 10 and can be purchased at the door for $50.
In 2023, the event raised more than $100,000, setting a record, according to a press release. The funds raised were used to help fund $300,000 in grants to 30 local organizations.
This extensive sale features new and gently used items – antiques, designer clothing, books, electronics, home decor, children’s items, and more – donated by members of the organization as well as the community. It’s The Sandy Springs Society’s longest-running fundraiser, first held in 1992.
The organization donates any remaining merchandise to area charities after the event.
Donations of new or gently used items will be accepted at the venue at 5920 Roswell Road, Suite C203 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:
- February 26th, 27th & 29th
- March 1st-2nd, 5th-9th

Guests at this year’s event also can purchase the Sandy Springs Society cookbook, “Savor Sandy Springs”, a collection of recipes from members as well as restaurants, businesses, and notable members of the Sandy Springs community. Proceeds will go towards the Society’s philanthropic grants.
To date, the Society has awarded more than $4.8 million in grants to support the community in the past 35 years. The charitable organization of women’s purpose is to support nonprofit organizations in the community that promote the arts, heritage, education, the environment and social services in Sandy Springs.
